This page highlights the destinations on our travel calendar and where our next adventures will take us. Along the way, we’ll include links to campgrounds, attractions, restaurants, and other places we think you might enjoy. Burlington Bay Campground, Two Harbors, MN
If you’ve followed this site for any length of time, you already know how much Pat and I enjoy Burlington Bay Campground in Two Harbors. We have one more trip planned there this fall. It’s one of those places that lets us slow down, enjoy the beauty of the North Shore, and recharge without having to spend days on the road. Click here to check out their website.
Door County, WI and Mackinaw City, MI
We had originally planned to spend five days in the Mackinaw City area, touring Mackinac Island and exploring the surrounding region. We were a little disappointed to learn that e-bikes are not allowed on the island, but bicycle rentals are readily available, so we’ll still be able to explore on two wheels.
As our plans came together, our good friends Joe and Kathy decided to join us. The trip quickly grew into a two week adventure, with the first week in Door County, Wisconsin, followed by a week in Mackinaw City and the surrounding area.
This will be our final major RV trip of the season. We won’t be heading south with the RV this winter. Our grandchildren are involved in so many activities that we hate missing those special moments, so we’ve decided to stay home this year. That said, we may still sneak away for a week or two somewhere warm just to escape the cold for a little while.
We’re looking forward to discovering some new places, spending time with good friends, and making a few more memories before another camping season comes to an end.

Marco Island, FL
Pat’s brother and his wife own a beautiful townhome on Marco Island, Florida. They purchased it as their future retirement home, and while they work toward that goal, they rent it to seasonal visitors. It’s been a great investment for them and has allowed others to enjoy this wonderful area of southwest Florida.
We were fortunate enough to spend some time there again this November. They had graciously invited us the previous year as well, and we enjoyed it so much that we happily accepted another invitation.
Marco Island is a beautiful destination, offering gorgeous beaches, spectacular sunsets, excellent restaurants, and a relaxed atmosphere. It’s the perfect place to slow down for a while and recharge before another Minnesota winter arrives.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are already looking forward to our next visit.
